Granola bars are one of my favorite things to eat as a breakfast or snack during the day because they are so filling but still taste great! Cranberry Orange Granola Bars are a delicious, healthy snack that you can feel good about eating. They’re packed full of whole grains and are made with just 6 ingredients: oats, honey, almonds, dried cranberries (or raisins), coconut oil and orange zest. These bars are easy to make at home and require no baking!
Here’s a step-by-step guide to making cranberry orange granola:
Ingredients:
- 3 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the oats, sliced almonds, dried cranberries, honey, vegetable oil, orange zest, orange juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure it is spread out evenly to allow for even baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the granola becomes golden brown and fragrant. Stir the granola halfway through baking to ensure even cooking.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let the granola cool completely. It will become crispy as it cools down.
- Once the granola has cooled, transfer it to an airtight container for storage. It can be stored at room temperature for up to two weeks.
